This position greets patients upon their arrival. Duties include check-in, check-out, scheduling appointments, ensuring insurance is verified and referrals are obtained, ensuring appropriate registration information is entered correctly and in a timely manner. Assists with maintaining patient flow in a fast paced clinical office.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for greeting, registering and checking in New, Return, and Walk-in patients. Will also check-out and schedule appointments.
- Updates and verifies patient insurance, referrals and demographic information in EPIC as needed.
- Collects copays, self-pay payments and fees for services as needed.
- Balances cash drawer daily.
- Serves as back up for other staff during peak times, vacations and illnesses. Travel to other locations may be required.
- Maintains familiarity with insurance companies and their requirements.
- Adheres to HIPAA regulations and all Orthopedic/front desk policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Life Support certification. (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.). BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
