About the role
Meta’s Product Content Engineering team is responsible for the content experiences across platforms and products. PCE works in close partnership with engineering, product, and partnerships teams to improve the discovery and distribution of content to drive value for users at scale. The work is fast-paced and innovative, situated at the intersection of content expertise and Meta’s industry-leading ranking and delivery systems.
The team is looking for candidates highly experienced in content production, strategy and analysis to execute across a variety of projects in multiple languages. The main function of a content engineer is to define and execute a content strategy that aims to significantly improve the product experience for consumers. The ideal Content Engineer has technical expertise combined with a capacity to drive change in ambiguous, fast-paced and high growth environments. - Understand technical product needs and translate those into actionable direction and readouts for a content-focused cross-functional team
- Understand Meta’s strategic and competitive position and deliver content strategies and product solutions that are aligned with our mission and recognized best in the industry
- Perform data exploration and analysis to produce actionable insights and reports for our content, engineering, strategy, and product teams
- Integrate content and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer output and enhance both creator and user satisfaction
- Manage efforts to drive improved performance from creators in North American markets through cross-functional projects with Ranking, Product, and Partnerships to drive top-line goals
- Coordinate efforts to work with agencies and other third party vendors to acquire and support creators on the platform
- Define emergent opportunities and support the team in executing in highly ambiguous areas. Agile support and flexibility is required
- 5+ years of work experience in product management, engineering data science, or content operations at a leading content platform
- Demonstrated understanding of recommendation systems
- Demonstrated expertise in data science or data analysis with proven experience in creating queries, generating complex spreadsheets and building dashboards
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience
- Decision-making experience to steer project in the right direction
- Effective and clear communication skills
- Proficiency in the Google suite of products, including Google sheets
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience working closely with ranking teams
- 2+ years of demonstrated people management experience
- Proficiency in SQL-based languages, and experience with Python and/or R preferred
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
- Experience in data visualization and tools such as Tableau
