Overview
LMI is seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to support the government Business Management Department (BMD) lead in managing overall financial operations and task management from higher headquarters, and key stakeholders to several O-5 program offices and a staff of 100+ personnel. Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership and be articulate and proactive. Must be able to work in a highly charged and fast paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks with minimal guidance, seeking guidance and clarification as required. Interacts with staff at all levels and across organizational teams and subordinate programs.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with internal Senior Leadership, Program Managers/Directors, Project Controls, Contracts, and Accounting.
- Works closely with contract COR(s) and BMD leadership.
- Prepares multiple financial reports and estimates including ROMs, burn analysis, Client Cost Reports, contract deliverables requirements lists (CDRLs) and contributes to monthly financial operational presentations.
- Contributes to monthly internal Program Management Reviews by preparing and reporting financial, staffing, and hiring information.
- Assists in staffing/personnel support to ensure client requirements are fulfilled; includes organizational tracking and reporting of hiring, on boarding, scheduling, pricing, funding, placement, clearances, and charge code realignments.
- Prepares and presents financial and personnel reports and briefings to client leadership as required.
- Assists with new contract work efforts including ROMs, which entail preparing pricing and labor category mappings.
- Reviews program inputs to ensure consistency across the portfolio.
- Reviews and recommends funding realignments to meet mission priorities and to utilize and exhaust all expiring funding.
- Analyzes trends to make financial recommendations to LMI and COR/BMD leadership.
- Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reconciliation reporting and de-obligation suggestions for end of option year close outs.
- Tracks travel - internal reporting focused on validating travel requests and final costs, with specific focus on subcontractor travel to ensure aligned with subcontractor travel funding level. Additionally, ensures all travel is aligned to correct travel CLIN and is appropriately prepared for customer invoicing.
- Provide program management support to the client and subordinate programs. Evaluate and provide comments and recommendations on program, reporting documents, and briefings.
- Provide and assist with support for all program efforts to include sub-SLIN tracking, action item tracking, and SharePoint site.
- Participation in internal corporate service line.
- Assists with new company work by participating in capture and business development.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a budget or financial analyst supporting federal programs.
- Experience with resource management, budget actions, and processes.
- Understanding of different types of government contracts (T&M, CPFF, FFP).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced executive level office.
- Detail oriented with a strong interest in financial operation support for a government client.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
- Understanding of contract labor categories, pricing, and administration highly desirable
- Ability to solve problems independently and effectively.
- A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
- Must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Desired:
- Degree (BA, BS) in Business, Finance (preferred)
- Experience/knowledge with Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
