Heat Treat Operator

Union Position 
Hours: M-TH 6:00am - 4:30pm
$24.50 starting and upon successful completion of a 60-day probationary period will move to $25.22

BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is an hourly Union position with primary responsibility to properly heat treat products to order specification, temper and clean product. Operate the heat treat furnace, quench tank, temper furnace, Wheelabrator shot blast machine, link heat treat machine forklift and crane. Harness testing and data entry of results are also required. Further requirements, qualifications, responsibility details, training, etc. will be discussed in detail with those with serious interest in the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Heat Treat Operation

• Load product onto plug fixtures. Properly set up equipment and heat treat product to order specification, temper and clean product, document results.
• Operate the heat treat furnace, temper furnace, Wheelabrator shot blast machine, link heat treat machine, forklift and crane.
• Assist others as needed.
