SCAH-Sutter Care at Home - ValleyPosition Overview:
Responsible for providing nutritional consultation services to patients, referral sources and staff in order to facilitate and maintain enteral and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) according to initial screening protocols for enteral and TPN or at the request of the physician or case manager to ensure that these patients who are at risk have been assessed and treated according to nutritional standards of care for enteral and TPN therapies. Dietary plans are developed with consideration of patient/family emotional, social, environmental and economic patterns.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's: BA or BS degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
- Other: Completion of an American Dietetic Association approved internship program.
- Other: Continuing education hours as required by the Commission on dietetic Registration and other subspecialty credentialing agencies.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RD-Registered Dietitian
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Specialized knowledge and clinical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide patient care consistent with nutrition practice standards and regulations.
- Ability to effectively coordinate efforts with others, including interdisciplinary groups, without direct lines of authority required.
- Written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required.
- Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills and the ability to manage resources for patient care in a cost effective manner.
- Demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, motivation, flexibility, energy and creativity.
- Excellent collaborative and problem solving skills with customers and management.
- Ability to exercise independent sound judgment in planning and providing patient care.

Pay Range is $46.31 to $60.19 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
