Senior Manager, Planning + Purchasing
Van Leeuwen Ice CreamAbout the role
We started Van Leeuwen Ice Cream in a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 with a mission to make good ice cream that makes you feel good.
Nowadays, people can spend so much time on what’s “healthy” they don’t stop to consider what’s healthy. As far as we’re concerned, happiness is healthiness. We strive to ensure every scoop, store and employee feels and creates one community to contribute to the overall brand.
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time Senior Manager, Planning + Purchasing based out of our corporate HQ in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The role’s key responsibility is to manage and coordinate the supply chain across Van Leeuwen’s 3 channels - retail scoop shops, wholesale/CPG, and e-commerce, from procurement to handling for production to final handoff to customers. This individual is responsible for overseeing demand planning and production scheduling to ensure we have sufficient product to meet the demand across all 3 channels. This role must also monitor all inventory at our Co-Packers, 3PLs, and scoop shops, ensuring all systematic inventory locations are accurately maintained, inventory transactions are correct, while achieving optimal inventory turns.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to collaborate closely with the growing team of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as the company embarks on its next stage of accelerated growth. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong experience in supply chain management and can thrive in a fast-paced environment (and loves ice cream!).
