Licensed Practical Nurse, Employee Occupational Health and Safety

Position Summary:
Provides practical nursing care to team members in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy. Under EOHS RN supervision provides disability case management, general nursing care and health screening to team members. Assists EOHS in various health service programs all under EOHS RN supervision; coordinate pre-employment and annual health screening; administration of medications per protocol, including but not limited to, immunizations, immunoglobulin and over the counter medications; first aid treatment; coordination and consultation in determination of team member’s ability to return to work or continue work and performs evaluation of medical leaves of absence.
Ensure delivery of occupational health and safety services to all Park Nicollet Health Services team members and facilitate services in accordance with department’s mission and goals maintaining compliance with community and regulatory standards or laws.
On a rotating basis, this individual will provide Frontline coverage for EOHS. This includes, but is not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, greeting all who come into the EOHS office, scheduling appointments, and support department clerical duties.

Required Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Practical Nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accurate computer/keyboarding skills
- Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality.
- One or more years of nursing experience in Occupational Medicine or workers’ compensation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
- Listening and telephone etiquette skills
- Medical terminology knowledge.
