Reporting to the Creative Director, we are looking for a Conceptual, Social-First Writer. You're conceptually-minded, with a background working in a writers room for a TV show and/or an advertising creative dept.
You'll be part of a fast paced creatively-led account to write and craft inspiring ideas that cut through the clutter to set hearts - and feeds - on fire. You'll thrive in a 'writers room' type environment, riffing with other writers and creatives to get to the perfect organic social idea/campaign/post. Some ideas will be big and bold, some will be smaller and tactical. All must be excellent.
You're whip smart with a voice others respect (including clients). And you have no issue leading a brainstorming session / writers room environment, both inspiring and directing the flow of ideas.
You come alive in a 'newsroom' style 'brainstorm' - a fast thinker with instant ideas based in cultural trends.
You're a prolific idea generator with a strategic mind, outstanding writing ability and excellent communication skills - able to thrive under pressure. You love working with clients and have experience gaining their trust to create the best work possible.
Qualifications
This role is perfect for you if:

- You live and breathe the world of entertainment (TV & film) and the surrounding culture in social channels.
- You have the skillset to strategically defend ideas or improve them, in response to input from a client.
- You are an expert in responding to client demands and tight deadlines.
- You have a clear vision and point of view, so you articulate your ideas with conviction.
- You are used to writing original, attention grabbing (organic) social ideas/content/sketches that engage audiences and drives fame, across the spectrum of emotions, from witty, to serious, to dramatic.
- Ideas/writing that cuts through the clutter and sets hearts and feeds on fire.
- Work that has excellence of concept and craft running through its veins.
- You can take a verbal brief/angle and spin insightful ideas from it without days and weeks of strategic insights - you bring your own creative insights.
- You know the importance of a great, unexpected idea/hook in order for organic content to create engagement.
- You're able to inspire and deliver the highest quality of excellence in your ideas / and writing every time.
- You have a passion (and deep understanding) of social and trends and you can find a fresh angle on them in your ideas/writing.
- You're a strategic thinker, aware of the difference between a big campaign idea and a tactical social execution. And you're able to do both.
- You're used to reviewing work with your Creative Director, Creative VP and ECD - and keeping them informed along the journey - taking their feedback onboard and actioning their direction (aligning across the team).
- When it comes to making the work, you have production experience and understand the world of shoots.
- You understand production and post production - and can guide a DP, editor, VFX, VO record, colorist, etc.
