Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.
RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Position Summary:
Provides supervision to site materials coordination personnel at the project site to ensure that materials are provided on time and in sufficient quantity to support the completion of construction work. Ensures that discipline Materials Management Coordinators provide accurate reporting of all materials required for work package installation. Monitors the work processes and the effectiveness of materials personnel in providing timely and accurate distribution of materials to Construction and/or (Sub) Contractor installation locations. Develops project workhour estimates and monitors against approved budgets. Assists in establishing long-range personnel objectives and in developing personnel. Provides materials coordination support to project functional groups.

Supervision Received
- Reports to and receives operational direction from the Materials Manager or designee.
- Receives functional guidance from the global business unit Manager of Procurement.
Supervision Exercised
- Provides operational direction to materials management coordinators and other personnel as designated, which are assigned to field materials management activities.
Contacts
- Maintains direct working relationship with Project Procurement, Field Project Controls, discipline Field Engineers, Field Procurement, Automation Support, Construction Superintendents, (Sub) Contractors, and Customer personnel to ensure that Construction personnel are provided with materials to support the completion of construction work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises a team of materials coordination personnel on a project. Conducts annual performance reviews and recommends salary actions, classification changes, terminations, and transfers.
- Develops project workhour estimates for Materials Coordination function. Monitors project work and the expenditure of work hours within approved budgets.
- Indoctrinates newly assigned Materials Coordinators to the requirements and procedures of the global business unit, project, and Customer. Monitors personnel to ensure they receive appropriate training and development to satisfy job performance criteria and company personnel development objectives.
- Assists the Materials Manager in establishing long-range personnel objectives and in developing personnel to fill materials management requirements.
- Implements Materials Management Plan with respect to applicable commodity groups within area of responsibility.
