Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, based on relevant work experience

JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is responsible for serving industrial hygiene clients as a subject matter expert in the field. The incumbent will help create and streamline the systems and procedures necessary to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control occupational exposures to chemical, physical, and biological stressors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
Conduct and review Industrial Hygiene assessments and health/safety audits
Performs building inspections to identify any hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead-based paint, bacteria, mold, fire smoke, combustion byproducts, as well as other toxins or harmful agents
Collect samples and conduct airborne assessments of present toxic materials for analysis and exposure risk
Mentors, through direct supervision or team leadership, junior staff in the performance and completion of moderately complex industrial hygiene assessments
Review of staff industrial hygiene reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
Provides expert services in the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of chemical and biological dangers such as air quality, ergonomic challenges, or dangerous noise levels
Develop, implement, and maintain Industrial Hygiene and other training programs, policies, and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of chemical, physical, and biological health hazards
Manage projects, including but not limited to creating proposals, drafting cost estimates, and marketing the business service. Communicates and corresponds regularly with clients, insurance companies, adjusters, and insureds
Creates and presents reports regarding the work environment on complex IH issues, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables and factors
Participates in regular client meetings and supports business development initiatives
Recommends precautions and corrective actions that should be taken in response to identified hazards
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group’s culture of safety and employee ownership
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures

Position will require travel as needed – approximately 50%
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field
Certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygienists (CIH)
Minimum 9 years of applicable professional work experience
Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• ASP, CSP, or ARM Certification
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to interact in a professional manner with diverse groups
