Job Description Summary:

Container Platform Team at PayPal is looking for a experienced Cloud Engineer who will implement next generation cloud platforms in a hybrid cloud setting to support PayPal business teams to scale their applications that serve millions of customers worldwide and process billions of dollars in payments.Understand our products and services to push our technology forward with respect to functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability. Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues.Work on building cloud platform with best of the breed technologies, such as Containerization, Cluster resource management, and distributed systems.The Candidate will have to analyse and guide the team in making the right design-cum-technical decisions that meet the various use cases supported. This involves technologies that help in supporting DevOps like Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform. The Candidate should possess good expertise in Java/J2EE and in developing microservices.CaaS (Container As a Service) is a model where IT organizations and developers work together to build, ship, and run their applications on premises or in any cloud-based service. CaaS enables an IT-secured and -managed application environment consisting of both content and infrastructure.
