Your Purpose

At Bitso, the Principal Engineer in the Mobile Team plays a pivotal role in driving our mobile technology strategy. This key position involves advanced technical capabilities and a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and strategic impact in the mobile space..

Who You Are

At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on mobile application development.
Demonstrated mastery in mobile technologies, with hands-on experience in both iOS and Android platforms and proficiency in cross-platform development frameworks.
Strategic thinker with a solid understanding of current and forthcoming mobile technologies.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience leading and delivering complex mobile development projects successfully.
A strong advocate for a collaborative, innovative, and agile engineering culture.
Comprehensive knowledge of integrating mobile applications with Rest APIs and experience in working with modularized apps.
Fluency in English, both oral and written. Proficient in technical and strategic discussions, being able to adapt language to the background of stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Lead the development and deployment of mobile solutions, focusing on native (iOS and Android) and cross-platform applications.
Play a pivotal role in shaping Bitso's mobile technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with its overall vision and needs while responding to emerging market trends.
Promote excellence in mobile engineering practices, advocating for efficiency, a culture of continuous improvement, and innovation within the team.
Facilitate collaboration across the company to integrate mobile development tools and processes effectively, enhancing productivity and product quality.
Uphold and advance mobile application security protocols to provide users with reliable and secure experiences.
Manage complex mobile technology initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery of impactful results.
Engage with the Bitso engineering community to drive knowledge sharing, innovation, and effective problem-solving in mobile technology.
Influence key mobile technology decisions, integrating them into the company's broader engineering and business strategies.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, emphasizing best practices in mobile development and efficient lifecycle management.
