General Information:

In this role you will be part of the Supplier Quality team that is dedicated to implement a culture and practice of excellence throughout the entire value chain of the organization, to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability in a sustainable way.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support new supplier onboarding by ensuring a robust qualification process execution, both at company and product level.
• Work with Eng department to identify the product CTQs and to assess the manufacturing process capabilities of the supplier.
• Support the product management team in the implementation of the NPD/NPI strategy.
• Planning, Execution and Follow up Process Audits at main Suppliers.
• Lead Supplier Quality Reviews to drive Continuous Improvement.
• Own supplier results as measured by key metrics and identify area for improvements utilizing Supplier scorecards.
• Manage supplier Nonconformities (containment action, corrective actions and Root Cause Analysis) and analyze periodically historical NC to drive improvement plan.
• Support Supplier claim management process.
• The role requires travelling to suppliers for solving quality issues, quality process developments and inspection of components and products.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• 5+ years’ experience in quality roles in a multinational company.
• Green Belt certification.
• Strong experience in statistical process control (SPC) methods.
• Experience in product qualification process (PPAP or similar).
• Experience in quality audit execution (certified quality auditor would be a plus).
• Good knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes assessment.
• Fluency in English – capability to lead technical conference calls, read drawings and procedures in English.
• Solid communication skills for cross functional and global team environments.
