When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you’ll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do everyday.</h2><p></p><p></p><p><u>About the Role:</u></p><p>As a Hardware engineer you will focus on Hardware development and software testing of automotive infotainment computer systems, automotive platforms, functional block design.</p><p></p><p><u>What You Will Do:</u></p><ul><li>Development, test and verification of analog and digital functional blocks (e.g. USB blocks, power supplies, Audio blocks, MCU/SoC/HU units) within complex hardware architectures under considering of quality, cost and suitability for series;</li><li>Coordination of work packages in Bucharest together with Hardware-PL in Karlsbad / Bucharest;</li><li>Project resource planning;</li><li>HW-Project management;</li><li>Schematic entry, integration and variant management;</li><li>Knowledge in embedded software development and scripting languages, Linux;</li><li>Knowledge of EMC design rules and EMC verification;</li><li>Knowledge in Functional Safety appreciated;</li><li>Redesign of existing analog/digital functional blocks according to change requests (customer change requests, PCN, PTN …);</li><li>Creation of measurement reports and technical documentation;</li><li>Assisting in the technical requirements specification of purchased parts of telematics &amp; connectivity functional blocks and in the evaluation and selection of suitable supplier;</li><li>Knowledge of commonly used interfaces in infotainment systems (PCIe, UART, TDM, Video-, I2C, I2S, USB) appreciated;</li><li>Realization of system designs, schematics and/or schematics integration of hardware applications in the range of medium to high complexity under consideration of Harman guidelines;</li><li>Global cooperation with other departments as Development, Quality, Manufacturing and Software during the development process;</li><li>Maintenance support;</li><li>Technical support for internal and/or external staff in the industrialization of function items in an international environment;</li><li>Perform technical measurements on customer site (EMC, Thermal, functional).</li><li>Project Leading / co-Project Leading activities and responsibilities</li><li>System Integration</li><li>Schematic Integration</li></ul><p></p><p><u>Other responsibilities specific to the occupational safety and health:</u></p><ul><li>Becomes acquainted with and applies correctly the legislation, the general and specific norms in the field of occupational safety and health and the different procedures in accordance with the specific nature of the workplace;</li><li>Attends the periodical training in the field of occupational safety and health and in the field of the fire prevention and extinction;</li><li>Knows the risk factors and the professional diseases specific to the workplace;</li><li>Identifies the dangers arising at the workplace and reports them to the person competent to take measures, according to specific procedures at the workplace;</li><li>Observes emergency and evacuation procedures and indicates possible accidents by promptly contacting the corresponding emergency services;</li><li>Uses the work equipment correctly;</li><li>Notifies to the management of the company and/or the hierarchical superior accidents suffered by his/her own person;</li><li>Ensures the provision of information requested by labour and sanitary inspectors.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>What You Need:</u></p><ul><li>Minimum of bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or appropriate graduation);</li><li>5 up to 7 years professional experience in the HW development and verification of analog/digital applications and standalone functional units;</li><li>Knowledge of tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE, …) as well as Microsoft applications;</li><li>Knowledge of tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE) as well as Microsoft applications;</li><li>Knowledge of the requirements inside the automotive area, especially for EMC;</li><li>Good knowledge in spoken and written English.</li></ul><p></p><p>HARMAN is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action employer.
