Responsible for supporting the payroll team by ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing new hire data, conducting audits, handling garnishments and unemployment claims, and responding to payroll inquiries. Responsibilities also include preparing paychecks, generating reports, and assisting with special projects. Main Job Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service by monitoring payroll shared inbox, assuring timely and professional follow-through or resolution.
- Assists the payroll team in the processing of bi-weekly payroll.
- Ensures new hire and rehire data is entered into the payroll (Dayforce) system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs weekly timesheet payroll audits including time away from work requests.
- Reviews store management and office schedules for accuracy weekly.
- Process wage garnishments in compliance with court orders. Ensure timely correspondence and completion. Ensure timely and accurate deductions are entered into Dayforce.
- Assist with unemployment claims processing.
- Performs data entry as needed.
- Run reports from Dayforce as needed.
- Preparing and distributing hard copy paychecks.
- Manage payroll related incoming mails.
- Assists in special projects.
- This position works consistently at a light physical work level and may be asked to occasionally work at a medium or heavy physical work level when supporting stores or other offsite events. Frequently required to sit, walk, reach, and grasp. Occasionally required to be on feet with a mix of standing and walking throughout shift.

Qualifications and Skills
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years administrative experience.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years payroll experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of processing payroll with an integrated HR and Payroll system; Ceridian Dayforce experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices, company policies, and federal and state laws.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends in order to meet payroll processing and year end deadlines.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Basic accounting
- Payroll and Human Resources Fundamentals
- Ceridian Dayforce, Dayforce Time and Attendance, Dayforce Reporting
- Knowledge/experience with union contract wage steps and job classifications
