Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Program Management Consultant to join our Rail/Transit Team located in Oakland, CA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
- Requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.
- Support execution and monitoring of strategic plan and delivery on key client and program success; has broad program management impact.
- Contribute to the formation and ongoing guidance of program PMO in support of the delivery of the project.
- Develop strong relationships and manage all client stakeholders (internal and external).
- Ability to set long term goals and strategies and establish effective management of internal and external interfaces and interdependencies across the program.
- Prepares and delivers presentations and trainings on behalf and in support of the client’s program.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience with a least 2 years of leadership experience.
- California PE license, or ability to obtain registration.
- PMI-PMP Certification.
- Experience implementing, monitoring and suggesting modification enhancements to project execution plan for a large, complex capital program.
- Experience leading a diverse team of professionals including, but not limited to, project managers, construction managers, project controls professionals, estimating, public outreach, consultants, etc.
- Experience in contract negotiation, risk mitigation, change management, and earned value management.
- Has familiarity with the program management competencies within programs and applies these to be successful. Has ability to mentor others in developing program competencies.
- Demonstrates exemplary leadership attributes that provide role modelling for others.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus to change program strategy in challenging situations.
- Has built diverse and inclusive teams to enable collective success through trust, psychological safety, autonomy, accountability and alignment.

- The offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $160,000.
