New Patient Scheduler- Roswell Park Care Network

Roswell Park Care Network is looking to hire a New Patient Scheduler for one of our Williamsville, NY locations.

The New Patient Scheduler will provide support to the providers, patients and hospital affiliates who are under the care of the Roswell Park Care Network. You will provide timely information to the providers in all of our locations and the patients who are undergoing care. This is an extremely collaborative position.

Brief Description of Duties:

• Manage new patient scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and no-show appointments appropriately as advised by the providers.
• Coordinate hospital consultations and hospital follow-ups with the providers.
• Preparing charts and scanning of documents into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
• Obtain complete records for all new patients.
• Coordinate referrals, transfer of care and hospital consults.
• Primary point of contact to help in resolving scheduling, provider and access challenges.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
• (1) year of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience Preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Experience with multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Medent.
• Microsoft Word and Excel software experience
• Demonstrated work experience with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated work experience exhibiting attention to detail
• Demonstrated work experience in successfully multi-tasking
