Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time LCSW to join the UCLA Insomnia Clinic. The clinic provides behavioral treatments for insomnia that do not involve medications. Primary duties include:

  • Running therapy sessions using cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and providing assessment and treatment
  • Reviewing intake notes, initial self-report questionnaires, sleep diary, and other relevant documents for formulating and evaluating individual case
  • Communicating with patients regarding clinical and administrative issues
  • Other clinical duties as assigned

Please note this is an 11 month limited position that may convert to career.

Salary: $51.94/hr - $62.08/hr

Job Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work

Valid CA Clinical Social Worker License

Knowledge and experience working with insomnia patients

Previous experience with CBT-I

Strong computer skills including word processing, e-mail systems, spreadsheets, and electronic medical records

Ability to work and practice professional relationships with other therapists, medical professionals, and patients

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing)
