About the Role
The Director, Workplace Experience and Physical Security is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the physical workplace environment, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive workspace for all employees. This role combines the strategic oversight of workplace management with the execution of robust physical security measures to protect LendingClub’s assets, employees, and visitors. The Director will partner with various stakeholders to create an optimized workplace experience that promotes operational efficiency and security.What You'll Do
Workplace Experience
- Lead the development and execution of workplace strategies that foster a positive, productive, and engaging work environment
- Manage the design, layout, and optimization of physical office spaces to enhance employee experience, collaboration, and performance
- Drive the integration of innovative workplace technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the workplace environment
- Oversee employee amenities, workspace booking systems, and ensure the workplace is welcoming and supportive of diverse work styles
- Ensure alignment of workplace initiatives/ events with corporate culture, values, and business objectives
Physical Security
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security programs (Floor Warden/ Evacuation and CPR/First Aid/AED, crisis management), policies, and procedures for physical security across all office locations
- Collaborate with security vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective security solutions and crisis response protocols
- Oversee the security operations, including monitoring access control, surveillance systems, and building alarms
- Coordinate the development and execution of emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for any security incidents or natural disasters
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate physical security vulnerabilities
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for physical security
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the People Success, IT and legal teams to align workplace strategies with overall business goals and employee safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to gather feedback and continuously improve the workplace experience and security protocols
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure workplace experience strategies are in line with organizational growth and evolving needs
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage budgets for workplace experience and physical security initiatives, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
- Oversee vendor relationships for facility management, security systems, and other related services, ensuring service quality and compliance
- Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of workplace and security programs
