The Production Test Engineer II is responsible for conducting functional and performance tests on high voltage power supply units to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of high voltage equipment, testing protocols, and troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve technical issues.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform functional, environmental, and stress tests on high voltage power supply units and components.
  • Verify compliance with technical specifications, performance standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, high voltage probes, and other testing equipment accurately and safely.
  • Identify and diagnose technical issues during testing, including component-level faults.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve performance or design-related discrepancies.
  • Recommend corrective actions or repairs to maintain product quality and functionality.
  • Record test results and maintain detailed logs of activities, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare test reports and provide feedback to engineering and quality assurance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation protocols and update test procedures as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing procedures and workflows.
  • Provide input on test fixture design and validation methods.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to reduce recurring issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when working with high voltage equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO and other applicable certifications.
  • Participate in regular safety training and audits.

     

What You Need:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting high voltage power supplies or related electronics.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and high voltage principles.
  • Hands-on experience with high voltage systems, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification (Preferred).
  • Training in ESD protection and handling of sensitive electronics (Preferred).

Our good faith estimate of the wage range for this role is $26 - $30. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
