Purpose

The Inside Sales Representative takes direction from Chief Executive Officer and input from Director of Business Development. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new leads and passing the lead to the business development team. This will involve researching the potential customer to make customized sales pitches and demonstrating how the customer will benefit from Bluegrass Supply Chain and Bluegrass Dedicated.

Job Responsibilities

• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Make 75+ Outbound calls daily to target customers and prospect sales opportunities
• Understand customer needs and requirements
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
• Maintain and expand the database of prospects
• Develop strong product and customer knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inside sale or a similar role
• An engaging, outgoing personality and passion for helping customers
• Hands on experience with CRM software
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
