What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $84,604.00 - $139,597.00/year, based on education and experience. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed.  Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You’ll Do

CSC is seeking a Senior Human Resources Data Analyst to administer the Talent Acquisition process and develop data visualization.

Responsibilities

In this Senior HR Data Analyst position, you will be responsible for:

Talent Acquisition Process

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop long-term recruitment plans.
  • Strategize with agencies and Talent Acquisition staff on both short term and long-term pre-employment assessment needs
  • Oversee the design and administration of the Civil Service pre-employment screening process.
  • Create and review procedures to ensure compliance with Civil Service Rules while meeting the needs of agencies, recruiters, and applicants
  • Serve as an internal consultant to solve operational performance issues, provide technical assistance to colleagues and/or managers, and ensure consistency and equity in both policy and practice
  • Present findings and recommendations to department managers and/or boards/commissions to gain support and approval of proposed recommendations and implementation strategies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Data Visualization

  • Designing and developing visually appealing and informative data visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their data visualization requirements and needs.
  • Analyzing complex data sets and identifying the most appropriate visualization techniques
  • Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the data visualizations developed
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization
  • Providing training and guidance to other team members on effective data visualization techniques and tools

What You’ll Bring

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

  • Experience creating visual dashboards based on KPIs tied to strategic objectives.
  • Experience pulling data together from disparate sources, analyzing it and reporting it in a compelling fashion to a wide range of audiences to achieve strategic impact and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and visualizing data using a variety of techniques using statistical software (e.g., Power BI, excel, SPSS, R, Python, Stata, Tableau, etc.)
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with leaders, and other stakeholders to gain their cooperation and support in projects/studies.
  • Willingness to be a champion who can help drive analytics feature adoption and create a data-driven culture.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of professional human resources experience.
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
