The Security Products group is responsible for developing a range of security-related products at Fastly. As a part of this group, you will be working with technology brought in through the acquisition of Signal Sciences, specifically the API used by both developers and the Signal Sciences UI. The stack is written in Go (Golang) and connected to MongoDB. You will collaborate across product and engineering teams as your guide and develop the next phase of the API, including expanded integration between Signal Sciences and Fastly.

What You'll Do

• Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements
• Coordinate and communicate seamlessly with the team members and across other technical and product teams
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and other team processes
• Code optimization and performance tuning
• Improve, expand, and automate our testing frameworks so problems are surfaced faster

What We're Looking For

• You have production experience designing, building, and maintaining frontend-focused software engineering experience
• Industry experience with JavaScript,  CSS, and HTML is a must, and you are familiar with modern Javascript libraries such as React and Node
• Thorough understanding of design patterns, coding practices, micro frontend architecture, and asynchronous and event-driven development
• Strong experience solving enterprise problems and taking projects from concept to production
• Strong skills in software testing
• Deep understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the web platform

The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
