EXTRA-CURRICULAR EVENTS SUPERVISOR

  • POSITION: Extra-Curricular Events Supervisor
  • TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:   Fall, Winter, and Spring Seasons for the 2026-2027
  • SALARY: 2,000.00 per season
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Teacher Certification
    • Knowledge of extra-curricular events expectations for crowd, students, and community members.
    • Applicants who have unsatisfactory evaluations in the past year will not be considered eligible for consideration; applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are to be eligible for consideration; and applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations will not be eligible for consideration. additional minimum requirements for applicants not currently employed: applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district are not eligible for consideration; the ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position as contained in the job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
    • Experience working with students, school activities, or public events preferred.
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and other event times as assigned.
  • IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Principal and Athletic Director
  • EVALUATION:  Performance of this job to be evaluated annually by the principal.

Position Summary

The Events Supervisor provides professional supervision and administrative support during athletic contests, extracurricular activities, and school events. The position is responsible for promoting a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment for students, staff, participants, and spectators while supporting positive conduct and effective event operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor athletic events, performances, ceremonies, and other school-sponsored activities.
  • Provide visible supervision before, during, and after events.
  • Assist with crowd control and maintain orderly spectator behavior.
  • Help ensure compliance with school rules, expectations, and event procedures.
  • Promote sportsmanship, respect, and positive interactions among students and spectators.
  • Address minor behavioral concerns in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Assist administrators with student supervision in designated areas.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, seating areas, hallways, parking areas, and common spaces as assigned.
  • Report safety concerns, emergencies, or incidents to administration immediately.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures when needed.
  • Support a welcoming environment for visiting schools, officials, and guests.
  • Serve as a positive representative of the school district at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and visitors.

  • Knowledge of student behavior management and crowd supervision techniques.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain attentive and mobile throughout assigned events.
