We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

• Continuously improve software engineering practices

• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies

• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions

• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community

• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

• At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and configuration of video management systems

• At least 5 years of experience with video analytics

• At least 5 years of experience with installation and troubleshooting access of control systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+  years of experience in troubleshooting and configuration of video management systems (Lenel Onguard, Genetec, Briefcam, Mastermind, Verint OpCenter, Verint Video Inspector)

• 6+ years of experience with security applications (DMP RemoteLink, DMP Entre, XpressEntry, or KeyTracer)

• 6+ years of experience with installation and troubleshooting of electronic devices (access control panels, doors controllers, intrusion alarms and their accessories)

• Lenel Certifications

• 1+ years of experience with analog POTS lines

• 1+ years of experience with AWS CloudSentry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500 for Senior Platform Engineer

 

Plano, TX: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer

 

Richmond, VA: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
