Pratt and Whitney's Regional Program Accounting team has an exciting opportunity for a GTF A220 Accounting Specialist

The position will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.

What You Will Do:

The Regional Program Accounting team in the GTF financial organization is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis of the P&W PW1500G (A220) and PW1900G (E190).

The team accounts for OEM activity and reports to Collaborators all OEM and Aftermarket activity monthly. There is always something new to learn in this team and the opportunity to work with various groups throughout the organization.

In this position you will have the opportunity to interact with many cross functional areas including Financial Planning & Analysis, Contracts, Partnership and Program Finance, Manufacturing and Operations Management, Aftermarket accounting, internal and external auditors and external Collaborators. 

Key Job Responsibilities: 

Key monthly responsibilities of this position are listed below. Opportunities for project work to support the Regional GTF Accounting team as well as the greater CE Finance organization are also available.

- Preparation of monthly/quarterly accounting journal entries and related financial analysis.

- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.

- Support compliance with internal controls and internal and external audits. 

- Spearhead process and system improvements needed to support growing volume.  

- Coordinate with external program partners to provide accounting results to support their business.

- Funding of external program partners for their portion of programs’ revenues and expenses.

- Consolidation of monthly activity for A220 partner packages reporting. 

- Support special projects and ad hoc requirements as they arise.

- Enhance current work processes to ensure efficient use of time and alleviate errors.

- Work cross functionally to support changes to the program, as needed.

- Provide accounting and reporting assistance to FP&A and Partnership and

Program Finance among others, to support new business deals, forecasting and peak periods including quarter and year-end reporting periods.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 5+ years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.

- Proficiency with MS Excel.

- Strong data analytics skills and interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals and/or team at all levels.

- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

- Candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, be organized, great attention to detail, analytical skills, a change agent and must be able to work with all levels of employees and management.

- Experience in the Aerospace industry.

- Certified Public Accountant.
