As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Digital and Platform Services team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

We are undertaking a strategic, initiative called Client 360 aimed at developing a big data platform and Firmwide solution for Entity Resolution and Relationships. We are seeking Big Data Software Engineering Lead and Senior Data Scientists with skills and experience implementing large-scale, cloud platform processing large amount of data and implementing creative ML and agentic AI solutions.

This individual will work on groundbreaking work to implement new solutions for Client 360 - Entity Resolution and Relationships and also enhance the existing platform.   

Job responsibilities

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Ideate, propose and implement AI/ML/LLM solutions for complex problems and automate manual processing using agentic frameworks 
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on technology project management concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) – Python
  • Experience in data manipulation libraries, and related software engineering platforms/frameworks 
  • Experience with AWS including EC2, ASG, Lambda, EKS, Code Deploy, & others is required 
  • Experience with different Relational and non-SQL data stores (RDS, Graph, S3, etc.) is required 
  • Experience working with end-to-end, fully automated CI/CD pipelines using frameworks like Jules, Spinnaker, Code Deploy, etc is needed 
  • Experience in data workflow orchestration e.g. Apache Airflow is needed 
  • Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks 
  • Experience and proficiency across the data lifecycle including data governance 
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience training and deploying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models 
  • Knowledge of linear algebra, statistics algorithms 
  • Experience in Agentic frameworks
  • Experience with Databricks 
  • Experience in a large banking or financial services environment
