Project Execution (Technology Risk and Controls)

J.P. Morgan’s CIB Payment and Card and Solutions Technology has an exciting opportunity in the Acquiring Platform and Rails Technology (APRT) Controls team for a Project Execution Lead. The successful candidate will be leading transformational programs and projects across the APRT platform which supports the CIB Payments Merchant Services Card Acquiring business. Given the business handles card data, Data Protection, Cyber Security, Access Management, and other Technology controls are essential and the business is subject to third party Systems and Organizational Controls certification, industry standards and control standards. The APRT platform is going through a modernization program onto the public cloud which brings added complexity as the multi-year transition and client migration is in flight.

Responsibilities 

• Drive and lead programs or projects across multiple applications to satisfy control standards, industry standards and regulatory requirements to meet hard deadlines.
• Lead virtual teams (Application Owners, Engineers, Architects, Quality Assurance, Subject Matter Experts) to deliver programs and projects to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose, meet timelines, and respect cost. 
• Develop executable plans with buy in from stakeholders including those who need to deliver, are impacted, and those who benefit.
• Communicate the project concepts, design and implementation to senior executives and business audiences in deep dives and reporting type fora.
• Establish and adhere to project management principles including timelines, risks, issues, costs, resource allocation, progress, RAG reporting etc. 
• Work with Control partners in Information Security Management, Business Control Management and Control Domain authority to establish requirements for control requirements.
• Collaborate with the APRT Risk and Control team to identify interdependencies, best practices or lessons learned and our Controls Team on the Technology Control Forum reporting and risk culture initiatives. 

Competencies 

• Project and Program Management in the delivery of application development change including the ability to write plans, status reports, risks, issues, escalations, etc. 
• Communication to executive audiences including the preparation of PowerPoint decks that summarize the program and go into the detail of Why, What, How, When, etc. 
• Stakeholder management that drives collaboration and positive momentum to deliver the program or project on time, fit for purpose.
• Ability to escalate problems constructively and facilitate problem resolution.
• Ability to work with Information Security Managers, Control Domain Authority and Business Control Managers
• MS Excel, PowerPoint are essential and internal project tools related to the execution of the project such as JIRA, SIF, TWIF
