Brown & Brown is seeking an Intern to join our growing team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL!  

As an intern, you will support the department with a variety of administrative and sales-related tasks while gaining hands-on experience in the insurance industry. This role offers the opportunity to assist with data entry, reporting, prospecting, and producer support, while participating in meetings, training, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. 

How You Will Contribute:  

• Assist the department with administrative tasks while learning the Insurance Industry 

• Perform data entry and create reports 

• Assist with creating prospecting lists & getting contact information for prospects 

• Assist with outbound cold calling 

• Work with producers on requesting Loss Runs & other policy information 

• Assist in creating stewardship reports, comparison sheets, and other presentations for new/renewal business 

• Attend PIT meetings and assist Sales Coach with preparation for meetings 

•  Shadow producers to get acclimated to the day-to-day work duties of a producer 

• Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown 

• Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures 

• Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills 

• Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 
 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's and/or master's degree 

• Diligent, strong communicator 

• Professional appearance 

• Supportive of working in a team environment 

• Ability to follow instructions 

• Working knowledge of computers 

• Very task-oriented
