You are skilled API Engineer with practical knowledge of API development and deployment process and passionate for learning and staying current with the latest technological advancements and industry trends. You will collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate API services with other software components, systems, or external data sources such as API gateways, service brokers, and event-driven architectures.

You Have:

• Experience in multiple programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript and Python, and security standards and protocols, such as OAuth and JWT
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions to streamline the software delivery process in event-sourced applications
• Knowledge of the critical web application security risks developed by the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)
• Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data, identify trends, patterns, and potential problems, and communicate the results to the API development team
• Ability to evaluate and mitigate potential security risks associated with API services, including vulnerabilities, attacks, and unauthorized access
• Ability to identify performance bottlenecks in API services and implement optimization strategies to improve overall efficiency and performance and debug and resolve technical issues that arise during the API development, testing, or deployment process including monitoring and logging systems
• Ability to create documentation for API services with guidelines, examples, and usage scenarios including proficiency in documentation tools like Swagger and Postman
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Public Trust
• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
