Selected candidate will be responsible for writing, validating and maintaining Flight Series Data (FSD) for F-35 aircraft. FSD will be developed and maintained in LM Aeronautics’ Technical Publications Authoring Systems utilizing Extensible Markup Language (XML). Successful candidate will be required to learn the authoring systems and adapt prior experience utilizing desktop publishing tools and XML to create new manuals or update and publish revised or changed material. Candidate will convey their working knowledge of aircraft and pilot systems into publications to support F-35 operational fleets. Reading and interpreting engineering, supplier, and customer documentation and effective interaction and communication with customers, vendors, engineering, and other organizations to define and document aircraft pilot procedures is a daily requirement in this position. Entry level position.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in one of the following technical disciplines: Systems Engineering, Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Technical Writing or Technical Communications.
- Experience with MS Office applications
Desired skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
XML Technical Data Authoring, Familiarity with Technical Manual/Publications.
Technical writing skills.
Interest and experience in aviation.
Good coordination and communication skills are required
