The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Breast Radiologist. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NY. The Elmhurst Radiology team is a dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly group of radiologists, technologists, nurses and support staff.
This is a rare opportunity. Turnover in the department of radiology is very low, with radiologists generally staying at Elmhurst for decades at a time. This is a great place to work. Flexible hybrid remote and onsite work options are available. Productivity expectations are reasonable and aligned with our mission to deliver high quality medical care.
- Interpreting diagnostic breast imaging exams including mammography, US, and MRI
- Performing necessary breast procedures including FNA and core biopsies, needle and non-wire localization of breast lesions
- Responsible for appropriate utilization of resources used in those cases, referring physician communication and timely review and signing of reports.
- Participating in department committees or other activities as requested by the Site-Chair and Systems Chair.
- MD degree
- Board eligible or certified in Radiology
- Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number
We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Full time salary is as follows:
Board Eligible-$425K; Board Certified-$450K; Board Certified and ACGME Fellowship-$475K
