Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Day Shifts in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and associate activity for policy violations and/or suspicious behavior, and report issues according to post orders.
• Complete shift documentation such as incident reports and activity logs, communicate updates during shift turnover, and support loss prevention and store operations within assigned authority.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
