McClure Post Acute, a respected Skilled Nursing Facility in Oakland, CA, is seeking a full-time Infection Prevention Nurse to lead our infection prevention and control efforts. Join a supportive team and make a real impact every day!

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in developing and presenting reports, and consult with departmental staff on epidemiological findings.

• Implement, maintain, and monitor disease surveillance systems to prevent infection spread.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret statistical data, providing timely and accurate reports, graphs, and charts.

• Develop, test, and implement new infection prevention policies and procedures, focusing on innovation and improvement.

• Demonstrate expertise in epidemiology, infection control, and public health guidelines, offering education and explanations to staff.

• Coordinate and participate in special projects related to infection control and patient safety.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local infection prevention standards and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Current and active California LVN or RN license.

• Infection Prevention certification (IPCO) preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of CDC, CDPH, and CMS guidelines for infection control in healthcare settings.

• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
