Job Overview:
The VP role will be a key player in exploring how LPL can differentiate and work with a team of strategists to uncover innovative ways to increase LPL’s enterprise value. We are looking for candidates who are adept at building visions and connecting these visions to execution.
The VP role will be part of our fast-paced Corporate Strategy team where LPL dreams big – setting an ambitious vision – then interacting with stakeholders across the organization to turn this vision into reality. Our VPs combine strategic thinking, human-centered design, market research & sizing, and data analysis to explore, ideate, and incubate the opportunities that will set LPL apart from the competition.
Responsibilities:
Identify major threats and opportunities for LPL
Lead initiatives that will have a material impact to LPL
Collaborate with senior leaders across LPL
Be responsible for the backlog of strategic initiatives
Take a data-driven approach to uncovering value pools
Establish processes for the rest of the team to adopt
Interact with customers to receive feedback and uncover insights
Be a key team member in the team responsible for defining LPL’s long-term strategy
Be an ambassador for LPL, building relationships with external business partners in order to accelerate opportunities

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Engineering, the Liberal Arts or similar
7+ years of experience in either corporate strategy or strategy consulting in areas that include: corporate strategy, innovation and new ventures, product strategy & development
7+ years of experience in the financial service industry
7+ years of experience developing strategic narratives & positionings
Preferences:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data + insights and present in an actionable manner
Exceptional presentation skills & ability to build a story narrative
Ability to take complex topics and make them easy to understand
Experience with merging human-centered design and corporate strategy
