Temporary Grief Counselor - Fluent in Spanish (Grant Funded - Independent Contracted Position)

The Grief Counselor provides short-term counseling support to individuals, children, and families who are coping with grief and loss issues due to a death. This may include anticipatory grief support. Services are available to hospice families as well as the larger community.

This is a temporary grant funded, independently contracted position (requiring 1099) grief counselor position to provide support bereavement services for the designated community areas of Dale City, Dumfries, Lake Ridge, Lorton, Manassas, Montclair, Occoquan, Quantico, Triangle, Woodbridge.

Ideal candidate will live in one of the communities above. Anticipated duration of this temporary position is 9 months with an expectation of 8 hours per week.

This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
