(Seasonal Part-Time) Pool and Racquet Sports Administrative Assistant | Useless Bay Golf and Country Club


Useless Bay Golf & Country Club is seeking a professional, service-oriented individual to support our pool and racquet sports operations for the upcoming season. This position combines member services, access control, facility oversight, and light retail responsibilities into one dynamic and highly visible role.
Seasonal Position expected to end on or around Labor Day, 2026.

Position Overview
The Pool & Racquet Sports Administrative Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for members utilizing the pool, tennis, pickleball, and bocce ball facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring a positive member experience while upholding Club policies and maintaining organized daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Member Check-In & Access Verification
• Greet and check in members upon arrival
• Verify member numbers and confirm authorized users on each account
• Ensure only eligible members and guests access Club amenities
• Handle situations involving non-authorized individuals with professionalism, diplomacy, and sound judgment
Racquet & Lawn Sports Support
• Monitor tennis, pickleball, and bocce ball court activity
• Oversee equipment distribution and return
• Ensure proper and authorized use of facilities
• Serve as an on-site point of contact for member needs
Pool Area Retail & Inventory
• Manage retail items available in the pool area (sunscreen, UBGCC monogrammed towels, diapers, and seasonal items)
• Process sales accurately
• Track and maintain inventory levels
• Keep displays organized and presentable
• Keep registration area neat, clean and organized
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the pool, pool deck, and surrounding areas, including bathrooms and showers.
Qualifications
• Professional, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated poise, diplomacy, and good judgment
• Ability to confidently enforce Club policies with tact and professionalism
• Must be available to work through Labor Day, 2026.

What you Bring:
• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous experience in cash handling & computerized Point of Sale system preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
