Job Description
We are looking for a experienced individual to assist in leading our Data Strategy and Data Governance Program.
A key aspect of this will be to understand banking and commercial lending products, commitments and to liaise with business partners operations and technology to ensure processes are developed and governance exists to monitor the quality of data flowing through our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business strategy into an executable program of delivery and provide leadership of major workstreams within major programs and/or stand-alone projects.
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Coordinating and executing project tasks, and maintaining working relationships with client functional areas in business and IT.
- Function as the primary point of contact for program issues and changes to project scope, development, and execution.
- Provide thought leadership and participate with stakeholders that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
- Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT.
- Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries and provide reports.
- Support senior Stakeholders in executing change initiatives. Manage and support management information reporting to senior stakeholders, including transparency in status communication and advising on ad-hoc senior stakeholder requests.
- Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in Data Governance/ Data Quality financial services.
- 5 years of progressive experience in leadership
- Experience and familiarity designing, developing and implementing data governance/data quality programs.
- Understanding of Data Governance terminology and processes.
- Strong ability to multi-task and progress projects with strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including senior management communication.
- Ability to partner effectively across the organization with Product, Operations, Finance and Technology areas.
- Able to effectively use internal collaboration platforms to communicate.
Desired:
- Experience in developing/delivering data strategy initiatives.
- Experience in delivering data warehousing projects.
Compensation:
The expected annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $200,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
