We are now looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with strong interpersonal skills and expertise in automation tools, with a commitment to customer focus, quality and innovation. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you need PLC and HMI programming competences to work with engineering teams on designing, configuring and testing complete automation solutions.

This position is based in Warsaw, Poland and requires travelling around Europe and Africa of up to 30 - 50 % yearly.

What you will do

•    Programming of PLC/HMI control systems.
•    Execute startup and commissioning of systems in conjunction with Process Engineer and Automation Project Leader at customer site.
•    Reviewing and creating functional descriptions for software: PLC/HMI.
•    System design and support for creating HMI Applications and PLC programs to meet project requirements.
•    Coordinate electrical design with panel suppliers, analyze and assess quality control.
•    Provide ongoing customer support & troubleshooting as necessary.
•    Writing operating instruction manuals.
•    Conduct automation training for team members, customer personnel on the installed systems.
•    Support of colleagues on automation aspects.
•    Ensuring a proper functioning of the control systems.

We believe you have

 

•    University degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
•    At least 8 years of experience in industrial software programming.
•    PLC programming (mainly Siemens S7 or Rockwell systems), programming in VB and DB/SQL experience preferred.
•    Preferred experience with Siemens (Step7, TIA Portal HMI, PLC, WinCC SCADA). Wonderware (InTouch, WSP) and Rockwell (RSLogix5000, Studio5000).
•    Knowledge and experience of working with electrical documentation.
•    Good spoken and written English.
•    Experience in liquid food industry will be an advantage.
•    Proficient using MS Office and network design.
•    Background and passion to work in a culture driven by innovation, sustainability, growth and performance.
•    Administrative, organized, systematic and consistent.
•    Good communication skills.
•    Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
•    Able to multitask work even in stressful situations.
•    Willingness to travel.
•    Driving license B.
 
Knowledge or experience within one or more of the following areas is considered a merit:
•    Experience and proven understanding of processing equipment and processes within the food/dairy industry.
•    Industry standards – S88 and S95
