Join us as a Meat and Seafood Clerk!

We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Meat and Seafood Clerk at our Ambler and Mt. Airy locations. This position is part-time with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week. Evening and weekend availability required. Ability to commute and work at Ambler and Mt. Airy locations is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great customer service, then we want to hear from you!

If you are experienced in food preparation/meat cutting, then this could be the right fit for you! We are looking for someone that has full flexibility in their schedule. Weekends and nights are required as we are open seven days a week. We have an excellent benefits package, including paid vacation and sick time, retirement planning, and an employee discount.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

- Previous experience in a grocery store or meat and seafood department preferred

- Strong knowledge of meat and seafood products, including cuts, preparation methods, and cooking techniques

- Stocking, cutting, cleaning, receiving and some ordering 

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications:

· Ability to commute to Mt. Airy and Ambler locations

· Weekend and evening availability is required

· Commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-operative Association

· Ability to work well in a team setting

· Ability to communicate with coworkers and customers 

· Ability to courteously and efficiently serve customers 

· Ability to multi-task, set priorities and remain calm under stress

· Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment when necessary

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
