Your Role at Baxter

This is where your work saves lives

As a technical expert, you will be responsible for developing a global technical vision that drives innovation in product and process design, incorporating multiple disciplines and having broad business applications. You will conduct research in advanced technology development that aligns with the company's strategy, and provide expert advice and technical guidance to various specialties, including industry partners. Your expertise will be applied to communicate complex technical and scientific aspects of products and product development across multiple functions, including regulatory affairs, business development, quality, legal, and senior management.

What you'll be doing

• Conceive product concepts and research methodologies that result in innovative technologies.
• Work on prototypes and proof-of-concept models using various tools and methodologies.
• Provide critical technical evaluation and input at stage gate reviews on major projects.
• Develop and implement novel methods, groundbreaking techniques, and approaches.
• Provide broad knowledge of advanced fields or extensive knowledge of theories and practices.
• Understand and integrate information from multiple areas to apply to complex problems.
• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of challenging technical problems.
• Provide recommendations on business decisions and serve as a role model for others in specific technical subject areas.

What you'll bring

• Master's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering).
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Additional training and accumulation of expertise post-degree.
• Strong track record of contributions to Baxter products.
• Develop solutions and recommendations based on analysis.
• Participate in scientific meetings, conclaves, and presentations.
• Demonstrate critical thinking during technical evaluations of major projects.
• Motivate positive impact on the healthcare industry and patient lives.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
