About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Automation within Workday's Public Cloud Engineering team, you will be a key contributor to our public cloud transformation (AWS or GCP). Your expertise will be central to crafting, implementing, and operating a Workflow & Cloud Environment Build System, accelerating our migration journey and embedding standard methodologies. By using innovative tools and the latest technologies, you'll empower the organization and significantly contribute to Workday's cloud adoption and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to apply your deep understanding of cloud platforms and strong software engineering skills in a collaborative environment that values impactful innovation.

What You'll Do:

·       Drive Cloud Workflow and Build Systems: Automate build, infrastructure, and software configuration management tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.

·       Architect and Develop: Design, develop, maintain, and support high-quality in-house software build systems for enterprise-class software, ensuring robust performance and scalability.

·       Champion Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Architect and maintain automated pipelines that ensure the continuous and flawless delivery of value to our clients.

·       Advance Public Cloud Infrastructure Best Practices: Contribute actively to the ongoing improvement and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for Public Cloud best practices.

·       Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developer and system architecture teams to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
