WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The Senior Accountant, Blackstone Real Estate Credit Fund Reporting, is responsible for the creation and implementation of monthly accounting processes for a newly launched investment vehicle, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards. The Senior Associate, Blackstone Real Estate Credit Fund Reporting will also partner with Blackstone in preparing monthly consolidated financials and analysis. This position is based out of the Revantage office in Dallas, TX.
HOW YOU ADD VALUE
Functional
- Play a foundational role in building out the monthly operational procedures for a newly launched investment, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Lead month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/ annual reports
- Consolidated Financial Statements
- SEC reporting
- Monthly Close
- NOI Reporting
- Cash Report
- Work closely with Blackstone to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Adhere to accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, reporting, and reconciliation through automation and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls to safeguard financial accuracy and compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules
- Take ownership of deliverables, proactively identifying areas of improvement in reporting and operational processes.
Relationship Management
- Accountable to Blackstone with the accounting team’s performance, responsiveness, and interactions
- Lead initiatives to ensure smooth business partner experience across the team
- Become day-to-day go-to person for Revantage business partners and Blackstone
- Respond to business partner inquiries and commit to deliverables by leveraging resources across the team
- Partner with team members to identify and drive external relationships with the team’s key contacts and stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis,
