The Finance and Accounting Leadership Accelerator (FALA) Internship is a 10-week paid experience focused on providing current college students with hands-on exposure to corporate accounting and finance. Interns will work within Bristol Myers Squibb’s Global Finance community, roles may include: Financial Reporting and Consolidations, Business Controls Finance, Treasury Operations, Technical Accounting, and other finance areas. Participants will engage in real-world assignments including controls testing, consolidation support, external reporting, analysis, and/or ad-hoc projects.

All internships are based out of Central New Jersey. Interns receive mentorship from finance leaders, participate in professional development workshops, and build a strong network across the organization. Top-performing interns will be strongly considered for full-time opportunities in the Finance and Accounting Leadership Accelerator (FALA) upon graduation.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $23.00/hour - $25.00/hour. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed. Final individual compensation is decided commensurate with demonstrated experience and education level.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled student, on track to graduate by Spring 2027, seeking a Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire.  Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Proven capability to effectively communicate within work and/or academic environments, with the ability to adapt messages to suit various audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability and desire to sit for the Uniform CPA examination or CMA examination upon graduation

  • Interest in pursuing the full-time ADP program upon graduation

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a school, extracurricular, and/or professional setting

  • Previous finance and/or accounting internship experience

  • Exposure or proficiency in manipulating large sets of data to perform robust analytics

  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in teams

  • Completion of accredited Excel or data visualization tool certificate program or course

  • Desire to work towards a leadership role in a large BioPharma company

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously and within a team
