Technician I - Networking

As a Technician I - Networking, with Bosch Building Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.
This role requires the ability and knowhow to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the bill of material (BOM), and be capable of adjusting or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings.
- Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results.
- Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally while consistently providing high levels of customer service.
- Adhere to Bosch Building Technologies’s Quality and Safety programs.
- Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory / Installation (ex HVAC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License with clean record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
- Ability to use hand and specialty power tools associated with the industry.
- Ability to lift 50lbs consistently.
- Able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 + year prior experience in a technical role within a Residential or Commercial Integrated Security Systems Company.
- Associates degree (2 year) in a technical capacity.
- Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 6 feet.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
Additional Information:
- Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
- Pay Rate: $25.50 - $33.00/hour
- Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel Required
