Job Description

The RCM Senior A/R Specialist will support the RCM team through the development and participation in short-term and long-term tactics for RCM customers when KPIs fall outside goals. The position reports to the RCM Operations Director.    

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

  • Support the RCM team through analysis and special projects related to client KPIs and expectations.   
  • Performs regular periodic A/R reviews to ensure customers are meeting KPI targets and expectations
  • Analyzes billing error and denial data to identify root causes
  • Research changes in payer requirements and communicates those requirements to the RCM leadership team
  • Troubleshoot issues, multi-task, and prioritize issues by risk/severity, complexity, and urgency.
  • Partners with RCM leadership to create, work, and/or manage action plans to bring customers back to KPI expectations
  • Liaison with RCM Customer Service Manager to communicate action plan updates to the customer
  • Effectively communicates concerns to RCM Operations Director
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 5+ years’ experience medical billing
  • Strong understanding of the revenue cycle, including payer networks and clearinghouses
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills (typing, data entry, general computer, and browser usage)
  • Intermediate Google Suite/Microsoft Office (Word. Excel) knowledge
  • The ability to analyze and interpret data
