Role Description:
The Client Assets Control Group primary objective in EMEA is to ensure compliance with the Client Asset rules within the UK and France. The Associate will form a key part of the team which is currently co-located in London and Dublin. The team covers all aspects of daily BAU processing as well as monthly regulatory reporting, deep dive testing and governance oversight. This is a dynamic role which offers a lot of variety in the day-to-day workload. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the oversight and governance of the Firms compliance with Client Asset regulations within the UK and Europe. Joining this team will provide fantastic learning and growth potential for the successful candidate within an innovative and dynamic team in an area that is of great business importance. A working knowledge of the Client Assets rules would be beneficial but is not a requisite for a role that offers regular interaction with internal contacts servicing the MLI, BofASE SA and BANA London entities across the globe.
Responsibilities:
- Complete the daily Client Money reconciliations for MLI and BofASE SA for both the normal and alternative approaches and the asset shortfall calculation for BANA London.
- Perform activities to support and improve core processes.
- Prepare management information for the CACG management and Client Assets Operating Group
What we are looking for:
- Experience of client assets regulatory requirements (e.g. UK CASS) is preferable but training will be provided.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Candidate will be able to manage own time and know when to escalate.
- Critical thinking - an ability to understand complex processes, identify process risks and improvement opportunities.
- Working knowledge of Excel and ability to perform analytical reviews is a benefit
