About the role

IT Security Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day cybersecurity tasks and remediations as well as preforming second level support to the Nascentia Helpdesk. Working directly under the Manager, Information Security, this position will be responsible for providing end-user support to Nascentia Health employees as a working member of the Helpdesk and as a member of the Information Security team.

Information Security Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze security logs for anomalies and communicate findings to manager
  2. Respond to Cybersecurity incidents at any given time of day
  3. Identify and remediate issues with patch management deployment
  4. Audit network and infrastructure for weak points and work with manager to remediate
  5. Assist with maintaining virtual servers, backups, networking equipment and all other infrastructure to reduce downtime
  6. Attend continuing education sessions as assigned
  7. Maintain, update, compile and review reports for various cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and network management tools including but not limited to: Antivirus, Patch management, firewalls, email and DNS protection systems and investigate any identified compromises
  8. Escalate issues in a timely manner to department leadership
  9. Assist with vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk assessments.
  10. Perform troubleshooting, corrective action, problem escalation and communication when necessary
  11. Update Knowledge Base with well-written and illustrated articles

Help Desk Responsibilities:

  1. Answer and respond to all calls and emails coming into the Helpdesk to ensure none are missed.
  2. Act as a member of the technical support team for Nascentia’s workforce to provide assistance for all IT hardware and software
  3. Perform troubleshooting, corrective action, problem escalation and communication when necessary
  4. Log all support requests in the incident tracking system and document all actions to include all follow up conversations, troubleshooting steps, and resolution
  5. Follow up with users after incident resolution
  6. Perform installs, upgrades, moves, and changes for computer workstations, mobile devices, software, printers, and other peripheral devices
  7. Perform and ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software
  8. Travel to organization’s locations/offices as instructed
  9. Assist with administration and management of company owned devices
  10. Provide courteous, responsive, respectful, and knowledgeable customer service
  11. Provide technical training and orientation to users as needed
  12. Provide problem resolution in a timely manner in order to ensure downtime for Nascentia workforce is minimal
  13. Work a rotating On-Call schedule which includes nights and weekends
  14. Provide daily updates to management of the current status of the IT Infrastructure
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by management

    Job Qualifications:
  16. Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years IT Support experience preferred.
  17. In-depth knowledge of: Windows Operating Systems, Android Operating Systems.
  18. Basic knowledge of: Windows Servers, MS Office, Virtual Servers, Network Structure & Security, Active Directory, Antivirus.
  19. Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems and security logs
