Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to work within the new Birmingham and Solihull Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (BSol PPHS). This is an exciting new service brings physiotherapy and midwifery services together to support women and birthing people with their pelvic health during pregnancy and up to one year after birth.

The PPHS has implemented a new app as a single point of access for patients to self-refer and complete a risk and symptom assessment. The clinicians then triage these referrals and assign appropriate action, whether resources are provided, further triage required or appointments either group, 1:1, face-to-face or group. This new app connects to the maternity notes app BadgerNet, experience of working with BadgerNet and PAS systems Oceano and Lorenzo would be beneficial. A clinical administrator is required to support the clinical team with administrative responsibilities of this new service.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The overall activities of the post-holder will include:

*Providing an efficient and professional administrative service.

*Undertake data input, accurately inputting data using a variety of Trust IT systems in a timely manner, including but not exclusive to; MyPathway, BadgerNet, Oceano and Lorenzo.

*Communicating with patients and coordinating appointments.

*Answering the telephone and taking messages, deal with them in a timely and efficient way and refer as appropriate.

*Arrange meetings as and when required.

*Receive and open incoming post and take action as required.

*Review and action electronic correspondence and disseminate as appropriate.

Qualifications

Essential

*Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) or GCSE Level 9-4 

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience of using IT systems
  • Experience of working in a busy office / customer care environment
 

Desirable

  • Experience of working in Healthcare
  • Experience using IT systems such as BadgerNet, Lorenzo and Oceano.
 

Additional Criteria

Essential

  • Work effectively and flexibly as part of a team to meet the needs of the services.
  • Confident in dealing with people at all levels.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites.
  • The post holder will have the ability to pay attention to detail where there are predictable interruptions to the work pattern.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations.
