Clinical Research Coordinator CJob Description Summary
This CRC-C position will conduct assessments and help coordinate multiple NIH and Industry sponsored studies at the HIV Prevention Research Division at the Perelman School of Medicine. Primary duties will include: (1) participant recruitment; (2) participant retention; (3) compliant study conduct; (4) protocol implementation including specimen collection; (5) administration of behavioral and safety assessments; (6) accurate, thorough documentation and data management; (7) research staff supervision.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Training and supervision of Research Assistants and CRC-A/B staff
- Lead coordinator responsibilities: staff training regarding study-specific data collection requirements, maintain study supplies/inventory, maintain participant list for retention, communicate with Penn collaborators and outside vendors
- Participant recruitment activities (may require evening/weekend time)
- Participant retention activities (may require evening/weekend time)
- Protocol implementation, Study Visit conduct including biometric measurements, phlebotomy, specimen collection, behavioral and safety assessments; interprets protocols and other resource materials for directions; maintain compliant source in multiple portals; schedules study related visits with internal and external providers; identifies AEs and SAEs and consults with clinicians in real time documentation of same
- Data entry, query resolution, data cleaning and corrections, interacting with external monitors
- Manage and conduct e-diary reporting, follow up calls to assess reactogenicity, participant phone calls (may require evening/weekend time)
- Manage multiple study related portals, coordinating inputs and communications in each of them
- Perform additional duties as assigned
